It's interesting: I think this effect could be in every color. What gets silence abilities and used to get Armageddon effects. Blue gets gigadrowse, early frost, and other tap effects. Black gets some LD and somewhat kamikaze strategies (taps yours too). Red gets LD, and even mass LD, and varients of it (see Pardic Miner http://magiccards.info/od/en/212.html ). green gets some LD (Plow under) and the ability to destroy/effect noncreature permanents. Even colorless gets this type of effect in mishra's helix & rishdan port.
Now if only wizards would still support land destruction/denial >.>

I like this in white. It feels right because it's symmetric.
DeleteArmageddon effects are way too powerful, as well. I wanted this to have the feel of Armageddon for one turn.
