Card or the Day - Razor Violinist

Evey team needs a good Bard to boost its stats. This wording of Team Up is the one I'm going to use until we can figure out a better wording.

Card of the Day - Ancient Beholder

The dungeon crawling atmosphere really wants to have nasty baddies.  This guy is a direct port from D&D.  Beholders are one of the most iconic creatures of that game, and deserve a spot in any D&D game.

Card of the Day - Corrupt Vicar

For anyone who doesn't know, Goblin Artisans is hosting a set design event.  This is the first of many cards designed to be a part of the set idea I'm backing: Mondombre.  Gold counters are something I used for my Orzhov design, but they feel at place in a set based on Dungeons & Dragons.

Card of the Day - Finli o' Tego

Finli o' Tego is a character from Stephen King's The Dark Tower.  He's a Weasel Taheen, which basically means he's a guy with a weasel head.  Here's some other Dark Tower stuff I've done.

Card of the Day - Growing Flame

This is another Basic card.  This card could be quite powerful if you have 12 in your deck.  It just keeps getting bigger!  For more explanation of the Basic card type, check this out.

Card of the Day - Bant Signet

Here's one of those "Why didn't they make this?" cards.  I got the idea when I saw the new guild charms.

Card of the Day - Chandra's Curse

This card went through a lot of changes before it made it to this form. When I first created this card a few years ago, it was an enchant permanent that did 1 damage to the permanent's controller each turn.  It was a common that cost R. I called it Heat Curse and filed it away.

As I was looking through my files for a card to post, I found it again. I saw it and immediately thought of a similar card in Innistrad. They even made it a Curse!  I wanted to make it more special, so I added a sense of urgency to it.  A very red sense of urgency.  This is the perfect card to put on an annoying opposing creature.  It's fun to watch your opponent squirm trying to get rid of his own creature.

Card of the Day - Thrill of Battle

I wanted to make an upgraded version of my very first favorite card, Orcish Oriflamme. (There have been more than a few favorites in the years since.)

Edit:  Charge counters! Duh!

Card of the Day - Craven Crossroads

I like how the art and the frame of this card work together.  Also: coin flip cards are fun!

Card of the Day - Swap

This is a card that I made that kind of got made after I made it.  If you don't know the card I'm talking about, here's Switcheroo.  Their cost is one more than mine and can only do creatures, but I'd say it's pretty similar.  Also Legerdemain is pretty close.

Edit: Better wording.

Card of the Day - Erudite Owl

This guy plays interestingly.  You can have any amount of 3/1s, 4/1s and 5/1s attacking, (not to mention 1/3s, etc.) but a 2/2 is stuck.  A fun build around aggro card.

Card of the Day - Loxodon Basher

This is a stretch for a white common, but not by much.  The closest we've seen are 3/5 and 4/2.

Card of the Day - Miracle Dust

Here's a card you wouldn't mind drawing really late in the game.  Probably quite useless before then.

Card of the Day - Memory Theft

Return to Ravnica has piqued my interest for X spells that do two different things.  Interestingly enough, this card was in my file a bit differently originally.

(I like the Dimir version better.)

Card of the Day - Pilfering Dragon

A non-red dragon that I created for one of Havelock V's challenges on Goblin Artisans.  I tweaked his P/T and mana cost for a long time to try and get it right.  It was originally a rare 4/4 with a mana cost of 5UU.

Card of the Day - Murky Graveyard

I've been making a lot of lands lately.  Here's a swamp that you can sacrifice for two black mana. It's basically just an upgrade to Crystal Vein. My favorite thing about this is that it's a swamp.

Card of the Day - Echoing Cliffs

Here's a nice build around card.  Someone should try to make an infinite combo with this one.

Card of the Day - Battlefield Reaver

I like to make french vanilla creatures.  There are so many possibilities.  This guy feels very Gruul, doesn's he?

Card of the Day - Painful Victory

This is a card that will be banned in Commander as soon as it's legal.  This might also be the funniest card to counter (or bounce).

Card of the Day - Stinging Jellyfish

This guy uses a mechanic that blue hasn't been used since Serendib Efreet was around. I wanted to make another common blue 2 power guy to follow up Phantasmal Bear, and this guy seems like a good choice. (By the way, the Serendib Efreet from Revised is still my favorite misprint of all time.)
